  • To classify and stage Burkitt’s lymphoma
  • To recognize it’s aggressiveness
  • To identify the rapidly developing symptoms and signs especially the jaw tumour and other symptoms including the B symptoms
  • To recognize the importance of a biopsy and a lumbar puncture in diagnosis
  • To recognize conditions that may mimic it
  • To appreciate the rapid response to combination chemotherapy treatment
  • To appreciate the problem of refractory Burkitt’s lymhoma
