-Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are tumours which develop in  extra skeletal tissues that:

  • connect
  • Support
  • Surround other discrete structures.

-STS are the commonest sarcomas followed  by osteosarcomas.

-They are grouped together because of their similarity in:

  • Pathological appearance.
  • Clinical presentation.
  • Behavior.

-They originate from the mesoderm.

-During the presentation, the benign tumours will be mentioned.
