  • To recognize the nerve with the longest intracranial course and the one with the longest extracranial course.
  • To identify the nerves which are motor, sensory or mixed.
  • To appreciate the nerves which are special sensory.
  • To identify the ganglia related to cranial nerves
  • To recognise the nerves distribution.
  • To identify the nerves that supply  the glands and the tongue.
  • To recognize squint, blindness, and Bells palsy.
